Visit either library location to get your library card. Please bring a photo ID, proof of your date of birth, and proof of your current address.
Evergreen Indiana Cardholders
Evergreen Indiana cardholders can use their library card at the Greentown Public Library
Non-Residents
Non-residents can purchase a library card for $65 from the Greentown Public Library
PLAC CARDS
The Public Library Access Card (PLAC) is the name for the statewide library card, enacted by (Indiana Code 4-23-7.1-5.1). The PLAC program allows an individual to borrow materials directly from any public library in Indiana. Books and non-book materials are eligible for loan through the PLAC program, but at least books that normally circulate must be available for loan. An individual who holds a valid public library card may obtain a PLAC. The fee for a PLAC 2024 is $65.00.
USING YOUR CARD
Your library card is good at both library locations.
Expiration
Most library card registrations need to be renewed every 2 years.
You can see your card expiration date in your online account settings. To renew your account registration, please contact the library in person, by phone, or online.
Lost Cards
If you lose your library card, please contact either GPL location as soon as possible. Library staff can stop your card until it can be found or replaced. You are responsible for all materials checked out on your library card until its loss is reported.
Replacement fee is $2.00

To view your current checked-out items, place holds, keep track of what you’ve read, and more. - Check out e-books.
- Place hold requests.
- Manage account.
Passwords
Logging into your account and using some online services requires a password (or PIN). If you do not know your password/PIN or cannot reset it online, please contact the library (765-628-3534) and staff can help you set a new one.
